  • Greetings from CRBCC

This month's newsletter will highlight the Capitol Region Black Chamber of Commerce human resource, workforce, and small business capacity building programs across major industry sectors in the Democratic Republic of Congo as a model for cooperative economic development alliances with other African countries.

This newsletter will also highlight CRBCC resources immediately available designed to establish global presence and market integration among rural and urban businesses, local stakeholder and other NGO organizations domestically and internationally.

Democratic Republic of Congo Discuss Partnership Agreement with CRBCC

.. .. .. .. During an intensive four week tour of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Robert Burgess and Ron Dunson along with in-country partner, Joseph Nkonga, met with local and national stakeholders in a whirlwind of meetings and special presentations in preparation for the mobilization of the Chamber's human resource and workforce development programs aligned with sustainable infrastructure development across all major industry sectors. development programs in the DRC.Seated above left to right Pastor Milingi, Scretary General, ECC, Joseph Nkonga, Director of CRBCC In-Country Partner Network & Project Development, Ron Dunson, Chairman CRBCC, Bishop, Vice-President of Reconstruction & Development, Yerodia Abdulay Ndombasi.

At subsequent meetings, in-country partners and stakeholders arranged a continous flow of meetings with top officials in government for presentation and approval of the Chamber development initiatives for the Congo. The Chamber received board acceptance of the programs, which led a few base agreement signed prior to return to the US, though requiring some modifications after board review a strong framework was established that will lead to substantial development across broad industry sectors throughout the Congo.

    CRBCC-DRC Public/Private Partnership Agreement Approved
Over the past two years Joseph Nkonga, Director of CRBCC In-Country Partner Network and Project Development has efficiently organized and data mined the key grassroots organizations, businesses and other local and national stakeholders for participation in the Chamber's sustainable community and economic development programs. The information will be resident throughout the entire CRBCC domestic and international "eBiz Community" platform to facilitate micro-enterprise development, B2B commerce, joint ventures, partnering, technology transfer, skill & career development, distance learning and telemedicine at the local, national and international levels. Pictured with Vice-President Yerodia Abdulay Ndombasi center are staff and ECC Top Level leadership with CRBCC's Ron Dunson & Robert Burgess to Vice-President Yerodia's immediate left.

While the Chamber is presently preparing for the mobilization of its core development initiatives in the Democratic Republic of Congo, many new strategic alliances and synergistic support organizations have joined brining additional resources and services to enhance the Chamber's core deliverables. The key programs include the Chamber's core deliverables such as water purifications systems for urban and rural communities, hospitals, women training centers, waste to energy plants, smart housing and buildings that deliver global resources to core levels of local communities- urban & rural. Economic generators such Bio-Mass Power Parks, Paulownia Tree, Inter-cropping, Fish, Chicken, and Pig Farms. The system facilitates an integrated regional approach to education, training, telemedicine, skill and career development implemented through the Capitol Region Black Chamber of Commerce "eBiz Community" Platform.

The Chamber's "eBiz Community" platform engages the core levels of society and other key stakeholders such as local education & financial institutions, non-profits, businesses, large and small, as participants not spectators to the development process.

Through the CRBCC "eBiz Community" Business Resource & Technology Centers, local stakeholders are directly & dynamically linked to US and other businesses, organizations, and services providers worldwide as resource participants in the sustainable community and economic development initiatives.

The chamber's key local/national stakeholder in the DRC is the ECC federation of Chruches, Church of Christ of Congo, a well organized network of Protestant Churches located throughout the whole of Congo led by Bishop Dr. Marini, its President pictured above with Ron Dunson at his office in Kinshasa, DRC, and Pastor Milingi, Secretary General to the right. The organization is the primary link to the local population serving the board needs of the underserved through a network of skilled staff service providers and other NGOs. Joseph Nkonga, the chamber's in-country partner can be credited with assembling the best teams to implement the chamber's programs in the Democratic Republic of Congo over the past two years. Bishop Dr. Marini is also President of Senate of the Congo transitional government looking forward to democratic elections in 2006.
